Medium Capacity Chemical Dosing Packages

WES offers a wide range of standardised chemical dosing packages for smaller, straightforward storage & metering applications, ranging from the portable, versatile WES Dosing Cube through the SC1000/DS1000 IBC storage solution and the DS1500 all the way up to Dosing Systems with 10,000 litres of chemical storage.

This fully enclosed chemical DS1500 Dosing System with capacity for 1500 litres of storage has a integral tank with bund and backboard with a proper fill point. The tank is refilled either directly by the chemical supplier or by hand pumping over from the delivered IBC. The advantage being minimal operator/chemical interface.

Designed as a small to medium capacity packaged Chemical dosing system for indoor or outdoor applications. Dosing pump and control options available for dose rates from 0.025—150 L/hr.

Safety & Ease of Use

With an integral bund and separate doors to the dosing & fill/control compartments, the unit provides a safe & robust fully enclosed lockable unit. By using Digital dosing pumps which have a user interface that allows the dosing rate you want to be entered directly on the screen, the systems are very simple to use. Furthermore, with a very wide turn-down ratio (100:1 for smaller pumps 1000:1 for large pumps) and no need for complicated stroke rate calculations, the system is truly “plug & play”.

  • Polyethylene enclosure – IP54 rated with integral >2000 litre capacity bund, (resistant to most Chemicals), separate lockable front access doors for fill & dosing compartments, nominal 1500 litre rotationally moulded storage tank.
  • Fill point – Separate fill door opening to proprietary/compliant fill connections & valves for filling by Chemical delivery suppliers.
  • Top access port – For ease of access to tank top instruments.
  • Digital Dosing Pump(s) – Allowing direct operator entry of dose rate. Also allowing manual or auto operation modes with direct input of pulse or 4-20mA flow proportional control signals. Single pump duty or dual pump duty & standby set-ups are possible.
  • Connections – Vertical tunnel rising through the bund to the dosing compartment allow power & signal cabling to enter & dosing lines to exit without being visible from outside the unit.
  • Control – Various options available from simple manual control to full flow proportional automatic dosing with automatic duty/standby pump changeover. Telemetry options also available.
  • Dose rates – Models available allowing dose rates as low as 0.025 l/hr or up to 150 l/hr.
  • Drip tray/bund – The integral bund will contain any leakage and the bund level switch will inhibit the pump(s) if triggered.
  • Health & Safety – With integral chemical containment, automatic leak detection cut-off & splash screens, etc. The DS1500 provides a safe dosing system for both operator & environment.

A fully enclosed weatherproof enclosure and integral bund designed to accept a standard 2500 litre IBC. The DS2500 unit prevents the common problem of exposed IBC bunds filling with rainwater and can be fitted as standard with a WES DosingCube™ and chemical fill arrangement to create a complete low-cost chemical dosing system.

The DS5000 is a fully enclosed chemical dosing systems comprising a GRP enclosure/cover fitted to a fabricated Polyethylene bund into which is fitted 5000 Litre Polyethylene storage tank. Single duty or duty/standby pumps can be fitted with dose rates up to 150 Litre/hr.

Ian Price is WES Dosing Products Business Manager, leading the business stream responsible for delivering a wide range of standardised chemical dosing packages, ad-hoc dosing needs and ‘off the shelf’ dosing products & solutions. A mechanical engineer with over 20 years’ experience in fluid handling solutions into the water, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and food & beverage markets.

Carl joined WES as Non-Exec chairman following an appointment via the Business Growth Service to assist the business with growth strategy. A highly experienced Business Mentor, Coach, Managing Director & Non-Exec Chairman, having led product, manufacturing, contracting and service provider businesses for nearly 30 years. A strong track record of market, sales and profit growth within a diverse range of sectors.

Core competencies include business growth strategies, board & business leadership, strategic planning, sales & marketing management, P&L & balance sheet management, acquisitions, divestments, outsourcing, TUPE transfer, mentoring & coaching.
